This is our hype video! I created it so you can see how we bring your event party to life by engaging your guests & not just playing music. We want your event to be memorable so we created a storyboard to make sure we hit all of the story we wanted to tell you!
At Sound Cake, we view a storyboard as the "lead sheet" for our video. It is a sequence of sketches—ranging from stick figures to detailed art—that maps out every shot before the cameras roll. I didn't draw them out but I had my daughter draw my ideas because she's an incredible artist.
By visualizing the script panel-by-shot, you can identify technical needs like camera angles, lighting changes, and transitions early on. It acts as a bridge between your creative idea and the final edit, ensuring the team is in sync and the "rhythm" of the story flows logically. Essentially, it allows you to fail on paper for the cost of a pencil, rather than on set for the cost of a crew. And that's how our Sound Cake Video came to be! Enjoy!
