How Do I Know If He/She Is the Right One?

Honestly, you can't. It's all a feeling. That intangible yet undeniable feeling that they're the one you're supposed to spend your life with. When you best friend becomes your spouse...that's magic! We've seen all kinds of couples get married & there's a few dynamics to look at...

1. Are They Listening?

   In a world full of distractions, are they able to put it all aside & really listen? Because that's important. If you ask him to handle the honeymoon & you end up doing it all too. Or if she defers to her sister after asking what music your want to dance to with your mom. Listening is the best gift you can give & it's free.

2. Pray about it!

   If you have a relationship with God, then you ask Him & see if this is the right thing to do. We've all heard stories of people getting a sick feeling about getting married to a certain person. You can decide if that's God telling you that this is a bad idea & won't end well. People will tell you that they felt the same thing & went through with it & they wish they'd listened. I believe God communicates to each of us in our own way.

3. Listen Again!

   Just like with your fiancé, make sure to listen. To them. To God. To the people with positive advice that love you. Tune out the rest. It's your life & your decision. You should love it.
