Even the most perfectly choreographed wedding needs a little editing before the big day. At Sound Cake, we know that "more" isn’t always "better." Sometimes, the best way to elevate your wedding is by stripping away the noise.
Here are five ways to edit your plans for a smoother celebration:
The "Plus-One" Audit: In Southern Utah, everyone is related to everyone. If you haven’t spoken to a guest in three years, they probably don’t need to be in your intimate ceremony photos.
Trim the Transitions: Look for "dead air" in your timeline. Shortening the gap between the ceremony and dinner keeps the energy high. Talk to your Sound Cake DJ to help keep things moving.
Simplify the Menu: Five courses can drag on. Edit down to three quality courses to get people to the dance floor faster. Then we can start the party!
Cull the DIY Projects: If a project is causing stress two weeks out, scrap it. Guests won't miss the hand-stamped napkins. Get your family to help out.
Curate the Playlist: Edit your "Must-Play" list. A few high-impact songs are better than a rigid four-hour list that leaves no room for the DJ to read the room. Just because that obscure song you sing out loud to in the shower, it might not be one to put on the "must-play" list.
